The role of spatial data in the development of agglomerations, the development of territorial planning documents, complex cadastral works, the involvement of real estate in economic turnover are issues that are relevant not only for Russian, but also for foreign agglomerations. Practical approaches to their solution were discussed by the participants of the session on November 14 at the Kazan Expo site.
The session of the international forum "REBUS" began with a speech by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who outlined the most pressing issues of agglomeration development in the regions of Russia and abroad. He emphasized that it is necessary to develop a systematic approach - to create legal mechanisms and a legislative framework for attracting financial resources to the urban infrastructure, to ensure balanced construction of not only new housing, but also public and social facilities.
The AICV Association acted as the organizer of the section "The Role of Spatial Data in the Development of Agglomerations". In which representatives of ministries and departments from more than 8 subjects of the Russian Federation, colleagues from the Republic of Uzbekistan took part.
The section discussed not only the issues of agglomeration processes, but also paid special attention to the tools for their spatial data development.
Agglomerations provide an opportunity to find a balance in the development of territories, to create a strategy for the socio-economic development of regions. The primary advantages of creating agglomerations include a high level of quality of life, increased labor productivity, increased business and economic activity, and improved social infrastructure. All these results can be achieved only with the competent use of spatial data.
Such data are used to determine territorial boundaries, manage land resources, analyze urban areas, plan transport infrastructure, and much more.
